Awards at the Horticulture Fair – Beoplant Fair 2024.
April 6, 2024In the flower-filled halls 2A and 1A and in the open space of the Belgrade Fair, a manifestation dedicated to nature as a source of life and education on how to preserve essential resources for the survival of biological diversity and ecosystems by planting flowers and greening cities was officially opened.
The 29th International Horticulture Fair BeoPlantFair is also enriched this year by three more thematic exhibitions – the 27th Exhibition of medicinal herbs and honey preparations Gifts of Nature, the 12th Exhibition of garden and park machines and related equipment MotoPlantExpo and the 8th Exhibition of organic production Organic Fest.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia is the sponsor and one of the most active participants and motivators of this event, and this year’s fair was officially opened by Milica Đurđević, the state secretary in this ministry.
- It is a pleasure to see that the exhibitors come from all over Serbia, that the manifestation is completed with additional content and exhibitions, and that the number of exhibitors is growing year by year. This is an opportunity to come together and celebrate the beauty, diversity and importance of horticulture in our lives.
Đurđević pointed out that horticulture is more than planting flowers and ornamental plants, because it is a combination of art, science and passion. Through horticulture, we create oases of peace and are inspired by the beauty of nature and refine the space in which we live.
- This manifestation, better known as “Garden in the heart of the city” is one of the most significant in this area, and thus the ministry is pleased to be able to support it and help the exhibitor’s performance. Perhaps this fair is an opportunity for some of the exhibitors to step out of their local framework and to market their products in some new markets, as well as an opportunity to appear on the international market in the coming year. Our support is a symbol of our commitment to the promotion of sustainable agriculture and care for the environment. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management will always support such manifestations, because they are the best promotion of Serbian agriculture and Serbian products, said Đurđević.
