Opened International Horticulture Fair
July 4, 2022

The 24th International Horticulture Fair “BeoPlantFair”, the most colorful and fragrant event in the fair calendar, was officially opened at the Belgrade Fair today.

Under the slogan “Garden in the heart of the city” in Hall 5 and in the open area of the Belgrade Fair, from April 4 to 7 this traditional floral event will be enriched by three more thematic exhibitions – the 22nd Exhibition of Medicinal Herbs and Honey Preparations “Gifts of Nature”, 7. Exhibition of garden and park machines and related equipment “MotoPlantExpo” and 3. Exhibition of organic production “Organic Fest”.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia is the sponsor and one of the most active participants and motivators of the event for the 11th time in a row.

The fair was opened by Velimir Stanojević, State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia, with the observation that the offer at the fair is becoming more comprehensive and diverse.

  • The general impression is that the participants are working extremely hard to improve production and marketing to customers. The idea is that small producers, cooperatives and associations promote horticulture as an important branch of agriculture with the support and subsidies of the ministry, Stanojević said, inviting visitors to come to the fair and enjoy it, because in an aesthetic sense there is no more beautiful manifestation at the Belgrade Fair.

Every April, which is officially World Landscape Architecture Month, a large number of visitors get inspiration and ideas for decorating terraces, balconies, gardens and greening gardens at the Horticulture Fair. The fair offers a rich selection of seedlings of the most beautiful flowers, conifers and ornamental plants, cacti, seasonal flowers, herbs and aromatic plants and the possibility of purchasing directly from the producer.

The event dedicated to the benefits and fruits of nature is organized with the aim of preserving and expanding green areas in the urban environment, increasing and beautifying the space for staying in the nature that belongs to man.
