Awards to the participants of the Horticulture Fair 2023.
January 20, 2023The International Horticulture Fair – BeoPlantFair was opened at the Belgrade Fair.
This manifestation is enriched and complemented by three more exhibitions: 25th Exhibition of medicinal plants and honey preparations “Gifts of Nature”, 10th Exhibition of garden and park machines and related equipment – MotoPlantExpo and 6th Exhibition of organic production “Organic Fest”.
In hall 3 and in the open space, visitors will be able to visit the most fragrant and colorful manifestation of the Belgrade Fair.

At the opening, Dejan Dragićević, host of the thematic series “The First Garden of Serbia” on RTS and “Cvetni kutak” on Agro TV, addressed the audience. Speaking in metaphors, he told a fairy tale about the Ice Queen, actually Pančić’s spruce. This unique conifer grows only in Serbia, on Mount Tara, and every major botanical garden in the world has a specimen of this beautiful tree.
He pointed out that the Horticulture Fair event is responsible for promoting love for plants and nature in general.

Then Anđelka Jevtović, landscape architect, president of the Association of Landscape Architects of Serbia, spoke. She pointed out that we have to make an effort if we want to live in a pleasant environment, which is precisely the job of her profession. The Belgrade Fair is recognized as an institution that, by holding such a manifestation, gives great support to landscape architecture.
She also invited visitors to visit the exhibition of works from the International Salon of Landscape Architecture, which is set up in hall 3, and to attend lectures that present this area to lovers of beauty in an interesting way.

The event was opened by Velimir Stanojević, State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia. He pointed out that the Ministry is the fourteenth sponsor of this most beautiful manifestation in terms of aesthetics and decoration, and thanked the Belgrade Fair for the successful organization of the event.
He emphasized that small producers from the fields of floriculture, fruit growing, vegetable growing, beekeeping and organic production should leave the local market and present themselves at this event.
In particular, in the coming period, producers of organic food and preparations will be supported, in order to be competitive in Europe and the world, Stanojević pointed out.
The fair will be open to the public and visitors until Monday, April 11.
The working hours of the fair are every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on April 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Entrance to the fair is free, and parking is 150 dinars per hour.
